A 34-year-old De Pere woman died after falling Monday, Aug. 12, from a cliff at Fonferek Glen County Park in Ledgeview, where she had been trying to help an 18-year-old man who had fallen earlier, authorities said Tuesday.

April L. Janssen was pronounced dead at an area hospital after she fell 40 feet from a rocky cliff. She was trying to help 18-year-old Troy Schmechel of De Pere, who also had fallen from the cliff, according to the Brown County Sheriff's Department.
