Cody Schwartz is among dozens of young basketball players - from elementary- on up to high-school age - who aspire to play for the big state university.

Only a select few, if that many, ever get the chance to throw on the cardinal-and-white uniform with "Wisconsin" imprinted on the front of the jersey and run out onto the Kohl Center floor in Madison.

If Schwartz is going to tip the odds in his favor and possibly have a shot to become a UW Badger in a couple years, what he pulled off last month may be looked back on as a turning point. ...
