An Oconto County committee has approved changing a longtime county policy so nearly $26,000 in accumulated sick time can be paid to the county's former corporation counsel.

Some members of the Law Enforcement/Judiciary Committee were conflicted about Robert Mraz's request, suggesting he should receive or was entitled to the money, but felt the policy of only paying out earned sick time if upon retirement or death shouldn't be changed.
