Area football teams use scrimmage as final tune-up for opener

After being matched up against his teammates in pads for a little over a week, Wausau East senior Cam Gruetzmacher admitted he enjoyed Friday's opportunity to finally deliver a hit on an opposing player.

But who got the better of the battle didn't really matter to the Lumberjacks wideout and his teammates as East was among six schools that were part of a scrimmage at Wausau West - a final tune-up before the high school regular season kicks off next weekend.
