Following through on a promise he made during his first State of the City address in January, Wisconsin Rapids Mayor Zach Vruwink said city leaders plan to complete three projects before the end of the year to make city operations more efficient.

About 30 city employees, ranging from rank-and-file workers to department heads, began Week 5 of the Lean Six Sigma training, which is administered through Mid-State Technical College and designed to help empower employees with tools to design participant-led projects that improve the efficiency of city processes and procedures, Vruwink said. ...
