Board expected to adopt changes to codes Monday

The Forestville Town Board is expected to adopt changes to the town's building and mechanical codes at its meeting in Maplewood at 7 p.m. Monday.

As stated near the beginning of the regulations: "The purpose of this code is to promote the health, safety, and general welfare of our community, to protect property values and provide for orderly, appropriate development and growth of the community."

The existing code requires the town's building inspector to issue building permits in advance of construction, remodeling or upgrading of one- and two-family homes. ...
