Pioneers have high hopes with eight-man football

Sevastopol High School's new head football coach believes the switch to eight-man football this season could be a shot in the arm for the Pioneers.

"It's a way to get some energy back into our program," said Justin Skiba, who was a Sevastopol assistant coach the past four seasons. "We've had some down years since making the playoffs in 2010. Everybody's been supportive of the changes and we all feel a responsibility to turn the program around. It's a great opportunity right now, and I think the kids see that."

The Pioneers won just three games the last two seasons in the Olympian/Packerland ...
