Schmitt-Sbai

Kendra Schmitt and Matt Sbai were united in marriage by Father Bob Konkel on May 25 at St Joseph Catholic Church in Sturgeon Bay.

The bride is the daughter of Paul and Patti Schmitt, Sturgeon Bay. She is a graduate of Sturgeon Bay High School and the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a Bachelor of Arts. She also earned a Master of Arts degree from the University of Iowa. She is a speech-language pathologist at the Keystone Area Education Agency in Dubuque, Iowa.

The groom is the son of William Sbai, Avon, Ind., and Shelly Denil, Sturgeon Bay. He is a graduate of Sturgeon Bay High School and Purdue University. He is an electrical engineer at John Deere Dubuque Works in Dubuque, Iowa.

The maid of honor was Heather Schmitt, with Amy Collett, Andrea Treadeau, Elena LaViolette, Gracie Bubnik and Abby Bubnik serving as bridesmaids.

The best man was Austin Herdina. Groomsmen were Matthew Pfeffer, Preston Schmitt, Alex Sbai, Derek Michtich and Mike Oakleaf. Ushers were Bola Olaniyan and Derek Jennerjohn.

Instrumental music was provided by the Allegro String Quartet. The 1 p.m. ceremony was followed by a reception at The Lodge at Leathem Smith, Sturgeon Bay.

The couple honeymooned in Paris. They reside in Dubuque.
