Vicki Hunt is already loaded up on pencils, notebooks and backpacks before school bells ring Sept. 3 for her three children.

The Green Bay mom figures she spends more than $100 on school supplies each year, not including clothing or technology.

Hunt says she shops sales and tries to stock up in late July and early August when stores offer the best back-to-school bargains. She doesn't have a specific dollar amount she plans to spend, but tries to be practical. ...
