The sound of blues music and the smell of fried food hung in the air at Wausau's Isle of Ferns Park this weekend, as people looked forward to hearing the biggest act Bluesfest has ever had.
Kari Rasmussen, director of Wausau Events, which organizes the event, said she hoped Robert Randolph and The Family Band, the headliner Saturday night at the 22nd annual Bluesfest, would bring new people who aren't big blues fans.
"We have Robert at just the perfect time," Rasmussen said. "He's really big right now. As far as where he is in his career, he's definitely one of the largest acts we've ever had." ...
