'Backpacks' campaign reaches 87% of $30,000 goal

Less than week left to donate to Do It! effort for school supplies

With five days left to donate, contributions to Post-Crescent Media's "Backpacks for Kids" Do It! Community Challenge have reached 87 percent of the campaign's $30,000 goal.

The Community Foundation for the Fox Valley Region has collected total donations of $26,127.73 for the campaign, which uses the proceeds to furnish 2,800 Fox Valley schoolchildren with new, fully stocked backpacks for the upcoming academic year.
