Q: My son is heading off to first grade this fall. Any tips to keep him healthy this school year?

A: We all know that young children are especially good at "sharing" germs with their classmates. There are a number of things that parents and teachers can do to keep students healthy as we fight the "germ warfare" battle.

The National Education Association and National Parent Teacher Association have worked together to develop tips to educate students on healthy habits like proper hand washing tips, how to prevent germs from spreading and much more. Here are some of their findings and suggestions. ...
