Woman jailed for lying about kids' symptoms

A 32-year-old Stratford woman authorities say made up symptoms to get unnecessary medical treatment for two children was sentenced in Wood County Circuit Court to 10 days in jail.

Susan C. Moore was given credit for one day already served and work release for two counts neglecting a child and one count obstructing an officer. During the sentencing Friday, Wood County Circuit Judge Nicholas Brazeau Jr. also ordered Moore to undergo any counseling deemed necessary, take her prescribed medication and follow orders issued by Marathon County Circuit Court.
