Interfibers Studio Gallery is hosting a reception from 3 to 7 p.m. Aug. 24 for an exhibit of work created in collaboration with studio owner and well-known fiber artist Wendy Carpenter. The exhibit will feature nine new fiber wall sculptures and jaspe-woven wrap dresses in various colors.

Carpenter has been creating fiber wall sculptures with an intern student from the Herberger Institute of Design and the Arts at Arizona State University. Carissa Heinrichs stayed with Carpenter for the summer to learn how to weave and will be incorporating her new-found fiber skills in her thesis work, an ...
