Storm victims eligible for SBA low-interest loans

The owners of businesses and homes damaged in the Aug. 6-7 storms can apply for financial assistance from the U.S. Small Business Administration to help cover repair costs and income loss.

The Small Business Administration approved Gov. Scott Walker's request Wednesday to declare Outagamie County a disaster area, said Michael Lampton, Small Business Administration spokesman. Owners can apply for the administration's low-interest loan program to pay for the damage insurance does not cover.
