Rep. Amy Sue Vrwuink issued a press release Wednesday morning contradicting earlier reports she was leaving the Assembly.

"There has been a lot of speculation recently about me taking a position at the state Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection," Vruwink statement said. "While I appreciate being thought of as a leader in agriculture, I will continue to make agriculture a top priority as a legislator. I will remain in the legislature and continue to serve the extraordinary, hardworking people of the 70th Assembly District. ...
