Highground welcomes bicycle tour riders

The Highground's 29th annual Bicycle Tour "Journey's End" Celebration was held Aug. 4.

Riders from across the state joined at The Highground for a celebration and picnic. American Legion and American Legion Auxiliary Post No. 73 from Neillsville, VFW Post No. 2241, Boy Scout Troop 43 and Boy Scout Troop 221 joined members of the community, holding flags and welcoming the riders into The Highground.

Each route rode in separately. The western route, originating from New Richmond was led by Randy Meyer and Jerry Simon. The eastern route, from Appleton, was led by Jim and Curt Braatz. The ...
