Sentry Toastmasters Club

The Sentry Toastmasters Club recently met to begin the new Toastmasters calendar year. It proved to be a meeting to exercise leadership skills learned through Toastmasters to adjust for last-minute meeting changes and absences.

President Brian Cychosz started the meeting by introducing Terri Ballenger, who stepped in as Toastmaster and General Evaluator. The first speaker, Brenda Anderson-Yesse, presented her researched topic, titled "Cyber Safety For Our Kids." Matt Meis' presentation, "The Waves," entertained and demonstrated use of body language in speech. Debbie Carcy shared storytelling with her presentation, "Starting Over."

The Table Topics theme was "Independence and Favorite Hat Day." Questions were developed by Roberta Bie, with respondents giving one- to two-minute impromptu answers. Ballenger's evaluation team consisted of Deborah Ginsburg, Brian Cychosz and John Cychosz. Ginsburg also served as Ah Counter and Joni Lodzinski as Timer.

We welcome guests at our meetings to learn how you may commit to growing and developing your communication and leadership skills. People interested in Toastmasters may call Dick Hawley at 715-341-6488 or dick21hawley@gmail.com.
