A 17-year-old Arpin boy faces a charge of contributing to the delinquency of a minor in connection with the attempted armed robbery of a 96-year-old grocery store owner.

Marshfield police arrested Cordell L. Ellingson on Aug. 14, and he is scheduled to make his initial appearance on the charge Sept. 9 in Wood County Circuit Court.

Police say Ellingson encouraged a 13-year-old Marshfield boy to rob Wolf's Grocery, 713 E. Doege St. in Marshfield. The 13-year-old is accused of holding a pocket knife out while demanding Margaretta Wolf open the cash register. He was wearing a mask and dark ...
