English Forward, a dynamic award-winning new approach to teaching English as a Second Language to volunteer tutors, will begin in Marshfield next month.

The Literacy Council of Wood County is offering the training to any adult interested in tutoring in central Wisconsin. Participants do not need to be residents of Wood County to participate. Participants must register in advance and complete all three sessions to earn certification. To register, email the council with your name, address, date of birth and telephone number to woodcountyliteracy@gmail.com. Space is limited to 20 participants.

The training takes place from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sept. 19, 26, and Oct. 3 at the Marshfield Area Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MACCI), next to the Holiday Inn.
