Letters: Buchanan is happy the way things are

Whoa, Post-Crescent editorial staff. Please don't pick on Buchanan's friends and neighbors.

We like them and together we make up Darboy - the center of the world.

The Buchanan Planning Commission, Town Board and administrator looked into joining Harrison as a village, but we said no for now. Why? Buchanan really likes the services that Outagamie County provides us.

VIDEO: HARRISON INCORPORATION

Our tax rate for local services is $2.62 per thousand of assessed value, the lowest rate of any local urbanized township. Buchanan will be completely out of debt in the year 2016.

To cover our backside, Administrator Angela Gorall had Harrison sign a 20-year hands-off, no annexation agreement.

Town chairman,
