Most local schools perform above state average on ACTs

Green Bay-area students who took the ACT college entrance exam last spring outscored students throughout Wisconsin, on average.

About half of the seniors in the Green Bay School District took the ACT last spring, receiving a composite score of 22 out of 36, slightly below the 22.1 state average, according to numbers released recently by the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction. Other local schools registered scores from 23 to more than 24.

In spring 2012, nearly 46 percent of Green Bay seniors took the test, receiving a composite score of 22.4. ...
