Four county Vietnam vets take the Yellow Ribbon Honor Flight

More than 500 Vietnam War veterans from Wisconsin applied for a chance to go on the first Yellow Ribbon Honor Flight to Washington, D.C. From that group, 114 were chosen in the drawing. Among those 114, four men from Kewaunee County, who were unacquainted, were able to take part in this once-in-a-lifetime event.

For several years Old Glory Honor Flight Inc., based in Appleton, has flown World War II and Korean War veterans to Washington, D.C., for a day that includes tours of the war memorials.
