Remains found Thursday in a wooded area near Antigo could be those of a 77-year-old man missing since February, an official said Friday.

A forensic autopsy was performed Friday morning in Madison, Langlade County Coroner Larry Shadick said; preliminary results show no evidence of foul play.

The remains were found Thursday afternoon on private hunting land, Shadick said. Evidence discovered at the scene initially "did not match the description of any missing persons from the area," Langlade County Sheriff Bill Greening said in a news release issued late Thursday. ...
