Free Family Day set at nature preserve

The Central Wisconsin Nature Foundation, Rome's nonprofit conservation group, invites everyone to the annual Free Family Day from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 1 in Twin Lakes Nature Preserve with the theme of "Family Trees."

Twin Lakes Nature Preserve is a Rome park on Highway Z, about 40 feet north of Aniwa Court, on Lake Petenwell. The day will include events for children, such as face painting, owl pellet opening, butterfly coloring, worm races and a presentation by the Raptor Education Group Inc. from Antigo.
