Sevastopol High School's eight-man football debut was a hit.

After trading touchdowns on their first two possessions, the Pioneers pulled away and crushed Valley Christian, 70-26, Friday night in Institute.

"It was a little closer at the start than we had hoped," said new Pioneers head coach Justin Skiba. "I think the kids just had some butterflies early on. But we started to pull away in the second quarter. The offense started clicking, the defense came together and the kids really dug deep and played with some heart." ...
