After working out a couple kickers Sunday morning, the Packers signed former Portland State kicker Zach Ramirez.

Ramirez joins incumbent Mason Crosby and left-footed challenger Giorgio Tavecchio in the battle for the Packers' place-kicking duties.

Crosby hasn't been able to lock up the job. He kicked solidly in live drills and games since going 3-for-8 at the team’s Family Night scrimmage, but then missed three straight attempts during Wednesday's practice.

He converted the team's only field goal attempt, a 38-yarder in the first quarter of Friday's 17-10 preseason loss to the Seattle Seahawks at Lambeau Field.

For all of camp (games and live drills), Crosby is 46-for-59 (78.0 percent), and Tavecchio is 48-for-55 (87.3 percent).

The Packers on Sunday also officially announced the release of quarterback Graham Harrell, running back Angelo Pease, Gilbert Peña and wide receivers Alex Gillett, Omarius Hines and Justin Wilson.
