Casimer Boosters 4-H Club

The Casimer Boosters 4-H Club met Aug. 12 at St. Casimir Catholic Church in the town of Hull.

The club took a trip to the State Fair on Aug. 3. Hannah and Katie Sims, members of the club, represented Portage County in the clothing revue. Also, the Amherst Fair was a big success for the club.

In new business, the club discussed the Rosholt Fair. Cleanup for the fair will be Aug. 25.

Record books should be handed in by Sept. 15. A record book is where club members keep track of what they did to help the community throughout the years. Bell ringing, June Dairy Days and the 4-H flower sale are some examples of things that members keep track of in their books.

Club member Hannah Sims is working on a project to make hats for people who have leukemia. Her goal was 50 hats and she completed 46 with help from other club members. The rest of the club will help her make more with material they have.

The next meeting will be Sept. 9 at St. Casimir Church.
