The Outagamie County Board is expected to vote on whether to extend benefits to employees' same-sex domestic partners, despite a committee's decision Tuesday to indefinitely postpone consideration.

The county's Legislative/Audit and Human Resources Committee approved Supervisor Chuck Schmidt's motion to table the proposal. He said several major issues first demanded the county's attention, including 2013 and 2014 union contracts.
