Johnson died after in a collision on County Line Road when he failed to stop at the sign at the intersection with Orlando Drive, according to Hobart-Lawrence police. His vehicle was hit on the passenger side by a Chevrolet Impala, according to a statement from Hobart-Lawrence police

The driver of the Chevrolet, Ray Goffard, 43 of Oneida, was hospitalized with serious injuries.
