Proposed Two Rivers school budget includes tax decrease

Residents living within the boundaries of Two Rivers Public Schools may see a decrease of 1.73 percent in their property taxes for 2013-14, according to information presented Monday evening.

Board members gave preliminary approval to a $25.4 million budget for the purpose of presenting the proposed budget to the public at a budget hearing at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 23 at the high school. The vote was unanimous with board members Nancy Pinchard and Jennifer Harteau absent. The board will give final approval to the budget at its meeting directly following the budget hearing.
