Commentary: Proud to support homeless shelter for men

This past week the City Plan Commission and the Common Council unanimously adopted a Conditional Use Permit for a men's homeless shelter.

The shelter, operated by The Haven, a volunteer group, will be located in the old St. Boniface School at 1003 Marshall St. Typically, as the chair of the Plan Commission, I do not make motions. I allow other members to do so. However, this time I wanted to make the motion to approve the permit to show my staunch support right from the beginning.
