This girl is a real character. Abby is the very first one to run to the door when you visit Kitty City. She loves water and will often turn on the faucet herself. She jumps around the cat trees like a monkey. Abby is 4 yrs old and weighs seven pounds. If you have room in your heart and home for her or any of the other pets here, please go to the website and check out the pictures and descriptions of them. There are 42 cats and kittens and 29 dogs and puppies here now. Surely we will have one that would be just right for you. Check them out at www.cchs-petshelter.org/id8.html
Free Dogs and Cats! We have been delighted with this new program and have decided to keep it going indefinitely. So many dogs and cats have found homes quickly because of it. The adoption fees have been removed for most cats over 6 months of age and many of the adult dogs! Stop during our open hours of noon to 3 p.m. on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday to see what we have, fill out an application and you may be taking home your new best friend, for free! Don't miss out on this great opportunity!
Have Some Fun! Stop in just to visit. If you've not been to a shelter because you felt it would be a sad, dreary, dead-end place, you really need to stop in at Clark County Humane Society! This shelter is a bright, clean and happy place where the pets are well-cared for and loved while they wait for their new homes. CCHS is proud to be a no-kill shelter. Come to visit and join us in our life-saving work.
We need a volunteer to clean Kitty City and cat cages on Mondays from 8 a.m. to noon.
