Emerald ash borer detected south of Oshkosh

State foresters have confirmed the emerald ash borer has infested trees in the towns of Black Wolf and Nekimi and the destructive beetle's arrival in Oshkosh cannot be far behind.

Winnebago County has become the 18th county in the state placed under quarantine orders that restrict the transportation of firewood to areas of the state where the invasive species has not yet been detected.
