The West De Pere High School varsity boys soccer team exceeded expectations in 2012 with a young squad that had only a handful of players with varsity experience, placing second in the Bay Conference with a record of 7-3.

Despite the high finish, the Phantoms weren't completely satisfied with what they accomplished a year ago since they faded late in the season. They dropped two games in the Bay Conference Tournament and exited the postseason right away when they lost 5-0 to Sheboygan North in the first round of the WIAA Division 1 regionals.
