The Algoma Wolves started their home football season opener in solid style Aug. 23, overcoming a sluggish beginning to notch a 33-13 victory over Sturgeon Bay.

The Clippers dominated the first quarter with two touchdowns and one extra point kick. Algoma's Ben Sealey had one 36-yard run for a touchdown in the first with 4:25 left.

The second quarter of the game had Wolves' Sam Koss and Eliot Prokash run for touchdowns as Algoma took a 20-13 halftime lead. ...
