Little Free Libraries pop up in Weston, Marathon County

Lori Gross has always loved to read, and when she first heard about the Little Free Libraries, she knew she had to add one to her neighborhood.

"I like the idea of moms with their children taking books home for a bedtime story," Gross said. "Reading has always been something I've enjoyed, and I think it kinda brings people together."

Gross' husband modeled the structure - similar to a bird house atop a pole, but bigger - after an old school house. The couple painted it red, installed a bench next to it and opened for business in October at their Weston home at 6406 Richards Ave. ...
