Hall wins library's adult grand prize

Martin Hall was chosen from a record 611 entries as the grand prize winner in T.B. Scott Free Library's Lincoln County Reads Adult Summer Library program. For having one of his three entry forms chosen, Hall won a basket of prizes valued at more than $100.

A total of 203 readers entered this summer's contest, including 83 new entrants.

Entries were up more than 30 percent from 2012, and participants increased 28 percent.

In all, 71 prizes were awarded to library contestants, because of the support of prize sponsors: Hardee's, Johnson Gifts & Home Decor, Culver's, Hugo's Pizza, Ye Olde Sweet Shoppe, Young's Drug Store, Family Chiropractic Clinic, Les & Jim's Lincoln Lanes, Champ's Restaurant, Auto Jockeys and the Friends of T.B. Scott Library.

The library's next adult reading contest, the 2014 Winter Read-In, begins Jan. 2.

For help with reading ideas, click on the Reader's Page at www.tbscottlibrary.org, go to T.B. Scott Library on Facebook, ask at the library's third floor reference desk, or call the library at 715-536-7191.
