Southern Door, Gibraltar school districts discuss budget deficits

The Southern Door School Board heard from the superintendent Monday that the district will have to take less money than previously expected from its cash reserves to balance its 2012-13 budget.

During the September 2012 annual meeting the board was looking at a projected budget of $585,992, and in October the deficit shrank to $517,850.

Now the deficit is $335,782, Superintendent Patti Vickman said. ...
