Global warming needs global solution

Howard Brown's Aug. 9 column railed on a segment of society he labeled "deniers" - by his definition, anyone who doesn't believe that global warming is man-made. His belief falls in line with recent findings by the U.N.-commissioned fifth Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change report, formulated by a panel of distinguished scientists, that claims there's a 95 percent chance that man is the cause of global warming.

In 2007, I wrote a column titled, "Jury's still out on global warming," and, based on all the studies I've reviewed since then, my opinion has shifted to a combination of both ...
