Proving once again that where there's a hit, there's a parody, the Meyer Theatre will host "The Hungry Hungry Games'' at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 29 and 30.

The farces aims its bow and arrow squarely at "The Hunger Games'' trilogy and looks for laughs in "all the fun of the novel and movie: poverty, oppression, war, 12-year-olds with bows and arrow, all sorts of side-splitting amusement.''

Tickets are $30 and go on sale at 11 a.m. Friday at Ticket Star outlets, ticketstaronline.com and (800) 895-0071.

A return of "Spank! The Fifty Shades Parody'' will also play the Meyer at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 13.

Ultimate cancellation: The Ultimate Legends Band scheduled for 8 p.m. Saturday at the Meyer Theatre has been canceled.

All tickets can be refunded at the Resch Center box office. Tickets purchased with a credit card will automatically be credited.

The show was to feature look-alike performers paying tribute to the music of Kenny Rogers, Buddy Holly, Roy Orbison and The Blues Brothers.

No reason for the cancellation was given by PMI Entertainment Group, which manages the Meyer.
