AMHERST - The Amherst Falcons football team look in midseason form already. The defending Division 5 state champions, cruised to a 54-14 nonconference victory over Wild Rose on Friday night, led by the Groshek brothers, Garrett and Garth.

Garth snared two touchdowns through the air from Garrett and Garrett also racked up 82 yards on the ground and two scores. Amherst led 47-0 at halftime and didn't play the starters much past intermission, which was pleasing to head coach Mark Lusic.
