Justis Wallace was well-prepared for first day of first grade Tuesday morning, decked out in his Superman shirt and Superman backpack.

"It's got a cape!" said Justis, 6, before classes started at Riverview Elementary School on Wausau's northeast side. He was talking about the backpack, and he pulled the red cape out of one of the pack's pockets. Will the shirt and backpack make him super smart for school?
