The Wausau Park and Recreation Committee on Tuesday recommended the city begin planning to build a fourth city pool to serve the growing west-side population.
Committee Chairman Dave Oberbeck proposed that the new pool be built at Brockmeyer Park, 4200 Stettin Drive, or another west-side location. He said Wausau has grown, especially to the west, since the pools were built in 1963, and the city needs to make sure the pools are in good locations to last another 50 years.
