Everyone was tipping their hats yesterday to 64-year-old long-distance swimmer Diana Nyad, who, on her fifth attempt, finally completed the 110-mile trek from Cuba to Florida. And she did it without a shark cage.

In fact, as a tribute to her, one comedian announced right off the top that he would do his entire show without a shark cage. Another said that her completion was a testament to how much old people really love Florida.
