After 35 years in a parking lot, Green Bay's Saturday farmers market is moving to Washington Street for a more wide-open shopping experience.

Starting next year, the downtown market will take place along a two-block stretch of South Washington Street, generally between the Bellin Building and St. Brendan's Inn.

The street will be closed during the market, creating the same sort of festival-style arrangement now utilized across the river at the Farmers Market on Broadway on Wednesdays. ...
