Free Zumba demo classes

De Pere Community Center will hold free Zumba demo classes next week.

The classes will run from 6:30 to 7:15 p.m. Monday, Sept. 9, in the Dickinson Elementary School commons, 435 S. Washington St.; 6:15 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 11, in the West De Pere High School multi-purpose gym, 665 Grant St.; and 6:30 to 7:15 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 12, in the Dickinson school commons.

Zumba fuses Latin rhythms with easy-to-follow international dance moves to create an energetic workout.

The demo classes are offered on the first day of the fall sessions, so attendees are invited to bring a friend.

The Community Center will hold several Zumba sessions the next few months.

Sewing class starts next week

The Community Center will hold a sewing class in three sessions the next several weeks.

Two sessions will be held on Mondays from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. and noon to 3 p.m., Sept. 9 to Oct. 14.

Another session will be held on Tuesdays from noon to 3 p.m., Sept. 10 to Oct. 15.

Registration fees are $39 for residents, $30 for senior-citizen residents and $53 for non-residents.

Stained glass class offered

The Community Center will hold a stained glass class in two six-week sessions the next few months.

Two sessions will be held on Thursdays from 1 to 4 p.m. and 5 to 8 p.m., Sept. 12 to Oct. 17.

Another session will be held on Thursdays from 1 to 4 p.m. and 5 to 8 p.m., Oct. 31 to Dec. 12 (no class the week of Thanksgiving).

Registration fees are $39 for residents, $30 for senior-citizen residents and $53 for non-residents.
