Rezoning for County N auto body shop denied

A town of Oconto man's request to rezone his property so he could continue to operate his auto body shop was denied by the Oconto County Planning & Zoning Commission.

The commission heard testimony at the Oconto Town Hall for about an hour before voting 5-0 against Tim Hanaway's request. He sought to have his three-acre property reclassified from residential single family to neighborhood commercial.

"I believe there was a lot of irresponsibility here, it would seem, on the part of Tim Hanaway," said supervisor Darrell Pagel. ...
