Judge says he believes Drexler kept guns for hunting

A federal judge put a Marshfield man on two years of probation Tuesday and sentenced him to time already served for unlawfully possessing eight firearms.

After being indicted earlier this year, Randy A. Drexler, 57, had been in custody for five months because a 1994 misdemeanor conviction for domestic battery made it illegal for him to possess firearms.

Drexler had been arrested in Clark County for burglary in October when he was found inside a Frito Lay warehouse in Dorchester. Drexler said he had an agreement with company officials to take potato chips for bear bait, according to court ...
