Appleton businessman accused of Ponzi scheme

Federal regulators say a Fox Valley business owner fraudulently collected nearly $940,000 from investors and used aPonzi-style scheme to keep his illegal scheme afloat.

An attorney for Robert Narvett of Appleton said allegations recently brought forward in federal court by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission shouldn't be accepted at face value.

"They have a theory, we disagree with their theory and that's what lawsuits are born out of," Milwaukee lawyer Michael F. Hart said. ...
